Seedlings nursery & pre-school Sensory Room
At Seedlings Day Nursery and Pre-School, we have a separate room dedicated to all things sensory. In this room we have a large bubble tube that reacts to sound and touch and changes colour. The children can interact with this and control the colours they want it to be.
Many sensory toys available
We also have a projector that shows imagines onto a pull-down screen and the images are relaxing and mood enhancing for the children. They are able to sit on large cushions and relax in this area. We also have a mood table which changes colour so the children can play with sand or water in this table and experience the effect of the light changes. We have optic lights that the children can wrap themselves in as well as an infinity mirror on the wall for the children to experience space in a different way.
There are many sensory toys in the room and the carpet is astro turf so the children have a different feel and texture under their feet. All children are able to access this room with either children of their own age or in a group.
