Seedlings Nursery & Pre-School - Baby Room
At Seedlings Day Nursery & Pre-school we have a large spacious baby room and we are registered for 8 babies from birth to aged 2. We have a large mural on one wall to stimulate the babies.
All areas for the babies are included in the room including home corner, book corner, quiet area and messy play area. All children (age appropriate) to sit at the table with their friends to eat their meals. Younger children are able to sit in chairs relative for their age. We provide home cooked meals that are prepared on site by a cook who has her level 3 in food hygiene.
Cots, bouncy chairs & sleep mats available
We have various place for the children to sleep according to their preference and the wishes of the parents. These include a cot, bouncy chairs and sleep mats.
We communicate with parents when they drop off and collect their child but we also complete a daily report sheet that goes home with them each day that says when they have slept, what they have drunk and eaten and their nappies. The baby room is light and spacious and there is plenty of room to crawl and move. We have consistency of staff and all children have a keyworker. Baby room staff hand over the children to their parents. The babies have access to a separate sensory room to provide a stimulating environment with a large bubble tube and sensory mood table as well as coloured lighting.
